Vanier drum set teacher Dominic Cloutier’s Emie R Roussel Trio was nominated for a 2021 JUNO award in the category Jazz Album of the Year: Group.

Erin MacLeod’s book Beyond Homophobia: Centring LGBTQ Experiences in the Anglophone Caribbean was shortlisted for a Caribbean Readers’ Award for Best Non-Fiction (Book), and it won a Bronze award in the category of LGBTQ+ NON-FICTION in the 25th annual 2021 Independent Publishers Book Awards.

In September 2018, Marlene Grossman was appointed to the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) Academic Board of Advisors.

In March, Jacky Vallée was named Vanier’s Person of the Year by Women’s and Gender Studies, in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Science and the Communications and Corporate Affairs office.

In May, Christopher Gregg was recognized by Alliance Sport Études for his exceptional support for student athletes.

In June, John Salik received an Honourable Mention at the 2018 AQPC Symposium, recognizing his dedication and creativity as an educator.

In June, Shawna Lambert received the Vanier College Teaching Excellence Award.

In April, Wilma Brown received the PERFORMA Award for the Quality of Production and Pedagogical Intervention in College Teaching from the University of Sherbrooke.

In May, Avery Rueb was honoured at the Gala des Mérites du français for his educational video game Prêt à négocier.

In June, Myriam Mansour received an Honourable Mention at the 2018 AQPC Symposium, recognizing her dedication and creativity as an educator.
